Dorothy Tollett, (Hansen) was born on January 20,1932  and passed away peacefully, in her home, on December 1,  2017 at 2:50 a.m. while soundly sleeping. Dorothy will join so many wonderful people in heaven, including her husband, Robert (Bob) Tollett, daughter, Darlene Beldin (Tollett), sister, Betty Jansen and both of her parents. She was raised by her father, Bill (Shorty) Hansen and took care of her brothers and sisters from a young age. Dorothy spent most of her life taking care of everyone.  And as she needed care in the end, that was given by Gary Tollett & Harold Hautala, along with her daughter Darlene, before she passed 4 years ago. Dorothy left behind so many loved ones including her son Gary Tollett & daughter Valerie Schock (Tollett), sister Lorraine Davis & brother William (Billy) Hansen. She left her grandchildren heartbroken but at peace~Karrie, Cory, Amy, Jonathan, Angela & great-grandchildren~ Bobbi, Merissa, Nash, Katie, Madison, Hunter, Charley, Journey and Oakley, step- grandchildren Abbey, Bryson & Jake, great- grandchildren Maliki, Lillyanna & Rylee and Ethan and Jasmyne's unborn baby boy and, Merissa and her unborn baby girl. So many in laws, cousins, friends and family are mourning and celebrating her life all at the same time. Dorothy was a stubborn sweet tiny little lady that loved every moment with her family. She always spoke her mind with whatever language she felt like using. She always loved a great big hug and kiss. Every milestone she cried tears of joy or maybe sadness. I never asked because it was always so moving to see. Dorothy loved fishing & camping trips, every holiday, homecoming picture, dance recital, and wrestling match. Taking all three  children on summer vacations  was very special to her. Dorothy was cremated at Hennessey Funeral Home and will join her husband on the book shelf, sharing an urn in their home as planned by her years ago. We are having a celebration of her life at the Chinese Gardens, 5207 E. Trent Spokane, WA 99212 on, Saturday, December 9th at 3 pm. Please join us in sharing memories, stories and just giving thanks for having her in our lives. We are collecting donations at the memorial in lieu of flowers to help cover the unexpected expenses. Donations will be collected by Karrie Fleck (granddaughter or dropped in the memorial jar. Balloons will be let go in her honor. Please feel free to have a message written down to tie to a balloon if you wish. Again thank you for your love and support.
