Margaret (Jen) Wagner, a resident of Spokane since 1970, died October 13, 2017. She was born in Manson, Iowa on January 28, 1926 and grew up in St. Joseph, Missouri. After graduation from high school in 1943, she was trained to become a Link Trainer instructor and taught simulated instrument flying procedures to Army Air Corps pilots at Rosecrans and then at Topeka Army Air Corps base where she met her husband, Jim, an Air Force pilot. Jen, as an Air Force wife, was stationed throughout the United States. She was a homemaker and did volunteer work, including work with special needs children. She was an avid reader and enjoyed being with friends and loved being a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Survivors include her two daughters; Lynn Vineyard (Bill) of St. Maries, ID, Joy Wagner of Spokane; and a son, Dana Wagner (Myrna), also of Spokane; a sister, Patty Jensen of St. Joseph, MO; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Jen was a member of Hamblen Park Presbyterian Church. Memorial gifts, if you wish, may be made to this church or to any charity of your choosing. A memorial service will be held for Jen at Hamblen Park Presbyterian Church on Saturday, October 28th at 11:00 am.
