Rose Ann Murray passed away on March 28, 2017. She was born in Anaconda, MT on August 13, 1930, the daughter of James & Beatrice Gallagher. She attended training and
became a Flight Attendant for Frontier Airlines after High School; stationed out of Salt Lake City, UT, she enjoyed traveling and proceeded to do as much as she could thru the
years; moving to Spokane, WA in 1961 with her husband she became an amazing seamstress making the clothes she wore, outfitting her children and her grandchildren with the latest
fashions, she began working for Fabricland and Jo-Ann Fabrics in 1976.
She married John P. Murray on May 13th, 1953, a blessed union of 57 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Gildea Gallagher of Anaconda, MT, her husband John P
Murray, and brother & sister in law James & Eileen Murray. She is survived by her 2 children, James P Murray (wife Marilyn and their 3 children Vanessa, Natalie, & Ryan), Mary "Cathy"
Fietek (husband Bill Zumwalt; and her 2 children Michelle Sacksteder (husband Colin and great grandson Liam) and Brian Fietek (wife Brianne and great grandchildren Jorden, Emma, &
Logan), her sister Helen Dowdall (nephews & niece James Herbolich (deceased), Ann Munoz, Richard Herbolich, & Michael Herbolich), and niece and nephews-children of James & Eileen Murray.
She was a devoted mother and grand-mother; everyone who met her remembers her as a sweetheart with a sweet tooth for chocolate! She was a lifelong Catholic and a member of Our
Lady of Fatima since moving to Spokane, WA; her faith was an important part of her life. She will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers we would like donations to be made in honor of the care received for our Mother to Horizon Hospice, 123 W. Cascade Way, Spokane, Washington 99208.
Funeral Mass will be April 17th, 2017 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Fatima, 1517 E. 33rd, Spokane, WA 99203. A reception will be held at the parish hall following the Mass.
Interment will follow the reception at 2:00pm at Holy Cross Cemetery, 7200 North Wall, Spokane, WA 99228.
