Tribute

Anita Jane Jarvis was born in Santa Rosa, CA to Merriam and Charles Quackenbush. Most knew her as Mickey. She was recently reunited in the heavens with her beloved husband John Jarvis, as well as her son. In life they traveled around the world while John  served in the United States Air Force. They enjoyed bowling, numerous sports , and meeting new people. They raised their two children along side her sister and her three and had many bonus kids along the way. They were blessed with a large family full of grandkids, great grandkids, and even great great grandkids. She loved each of them with the highest level of a mother’s love. Always a song to sing to soothe a baby to sleep, or tunes playing to dance in the hall music was her passion until her final days. Anita treated everyone that walked through her doors as if they were blood, unless you tried to sit in her precious red chair that matched her favorite pair of pants. She fought for clear air,  clean water, fair treatment, and  medical justice not just for every family member but for the entire community. She loved deeply and was the glue to the family. It won’t be the same without her famous flaming yams at the holidays. She was a coach for many years and also volunteered her time at FAFB. A lover of peaches and apricot jelly; this was the literal preservative of her life (even though she had 10 helping of toast daily) She wanted those who held her dear to remember her in happiness and of fond memories . She did not want sorrow to be the last reminders. We will be having an anniversary/celebration of life at the VFW in Airway Heights March 17 at 1pm, kids are welcome. I will end with a message of love from her to all she loved dear. You know what to say. “I love you more than you do me…… “ Anyone who would like to give a monetary gift we ask donations be made in her honor to the Hospice House of Spokane South.
