Genevieve Hansen

Genevieve H Hansen (age 92), b. 08/13/1930, d. 11/01/2022

A former longtime resident of Lakewood, WA and recent resident of Riverview Memory Care in Spokane, WA died peacefully on Monday.  She was born in Jacksonville, FL and remained extremely fond of Florida and its many virtues and people.  She is survived by her sisters; Lee Richardson, Sylivia Ann Wright (Richard Wright, MD), Sue Higginbotham. Her children; Ann Gilbert-Rolfe (Jeremy), Nicholas J. Vagianos, Theodore P. Vanos, David N. Vanos (Jill), Kenneth R. Hansen II. Her grandchildren; David Neil Vanos II (Allison), Chelsea N. Touloei (Bobak), Nathan A. Vanos (Alyssa), Cedric Gilbert-Rolfe, George Vanos, Charles Vanos. Her great grandchildren, Leiah F. Lara and Leo A. Vanos. Genevieve is preceded in death by her parents; Foster and Annie (Nee Combs) Higginbotham. Her siblings Johnnie and Ronald Higginbotham; and her husband Kenneth R. Hansen, MD.

She had many interests and loves including Rascal (her beloved dog), travel abroad, books/reading, her children and grandchildren, so many friends, and most of all, her husband of 50 years, Royce.   She will be missed by many friends and relations and will be remembered and loved forever.  Rest in Peace.
