June 24, 1941 ~ March 1, 2023 (age 81) 81 Years Old



Glenda Roberts, 81, of Spokane, Passed away on March 1, 2023 in her home in Spokane.

She was born on June 24, 1941 to Glen and Marie (Norman) Polwort in Enid, Oklahoma. She graduated from Enid High School in 1959. After graduation she went on to study at Enid Business College. After college she worked as an office clerk before marrying the love of her life Jerry Roberts in 1961. Together they moved to Fairfield, California where she worked as a financial manager for Sears. In 1967 they moved to Las Vegas and she became a homemaker, caring for, and graciously loving her two sons. In 1974 she and Jerry moved to Spokane, Washington; 1985 to Connecticut; to Lake Forest, California in 1987, and then back to Spokane in 1998. After this move she and Jerry opened their own Postal Annex franchise. Glenda was not only a loving mother, grandmother, and wife, but also a caring friend to many. Glenda and her family enjoyed spending their summers boating the many area lakes with friends they met as member of the Spokane Yacht club, and later years traveling as members of Newmar RV club.

Glenda is survived by her loving husband Jerry; Children Jeff & Sarah and Tim & Ella Roberts; and three grandchildren, James, Kayla, and Maya.

Glenda was preceded in death by both of her parents and four brothers, Lanny, Robert, Bruce, and Gary Polwort.

Per Glenda’s request, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held on March 18, 2023 at 2:00pm at Hennessey Funeral Home 2203 N. Division.
