Kenneth Lowell Jensen passed away on November 21, 2022, after a long hospitalization in Spokane, Washington. He was born on February 2, 1944, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and was 78 years old at the time of his passing. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents Walter L. Jensen Sr. and Lillian (Dallenbach) Jensen as well as his brothers Dr. Walter L. Jensen Jr. and Thomas Jensen. He is survived by his two sons, Jeff and Keith Jensen, his Grandchildren Megan, Shelby and Alec. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews Eric, James, John, Mark Jensen and Nicole Jensen-Swan as well as countless friends and loved ones who will deeply miss him.

Kenneth graduated from Wauwatosa East High School in 1962 and enjoyed playing sports. He attended the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater for two years but left early to enlist in the Army. He was selected for the Warrant Officer program and became a skilled helicopter pilot, earning the Air Medal with Valor & OLC, and the RVN Gallantry Cross for his bravery and service in Vietnam. Kenneth was a dedicated soldier who served his country with distinction and honor, and his achievements as an Army Aviator were a source of great pride for him throughout his life.

After leaving the Army, Kenneth settled in Alabama and started a family. Later, He moved to Alaska, where he worked with his brother Tom and nephew Eric as a fishing boat captain for many years. He loved the sea and the thrill of the catch, and he was known for his expertise in navigating the treacherous waters of the Prince William Sound, Gulf of Alaska and Cook Inlet. Despite the danger of his job, Kenneth always put the safety of his crew first and took great pride in his work. He then moved to San Diego to be close to his two brothers that lived there until ultimately moving to Spokane Washington.

Ken was a boisterous man but kind of heart to those that asked for help from him. He was also a dedicated Boy Scout master. He loved working with young people and teaching them the skills they needed to succeed in life. One of Kenneth's passions was collecting memorabilia, and he had an extensive collection of action figures, coins and other items that he cherished. He loved nothing more than spending hours sorting through his collection, reminiscing about his time in the Army and on the sea, and sharing stories with his family and friends.

Despite his many accomplishments, Kenneth will be remembered most for his kind and generous spirit. He was a man who always put others before himself and who lived his life with integrity and honor. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Kenneth's burial services will be held on May 26, 2023, at 2:30 PM at the Miramar National Cemetery in San Diego. It will be a fitting tribute to a man who served his country and his community with such dedication and selflessness. All are welcome to attend.
