Tribute

Lori Renae Brown, 62 of Sacheen Lake, Washington passed away on 09-15-2022 after a long battle with metastatic breast cancer at Hospice Center in Spokane, Washington. She was born in Wichita Falls, Texas on 08-05-1960. Lori graduated from Medical Lake High School in 1978. Lori had three (3) children and work for the State of Washington for several years as a Public Benefits Specialist.

She was a member of the Central Lutheran church and enjoyed family, quilting, her pets, camping, her cabin, card games with family and Gonzaga basketball.

In our household Gonzaga men's basketball ruled. Peggie and I were blessed by Lori and Cheryl's company many times. You know the scenario, everybody is wearing Gonzaga shirts and sweatshirts, the living room pillows have Gonzaga pillowcases, our leg warmers were Gonzaga quilts that Lori made or blankets that Cheryl found. We were together and having family fun time. 99% of the time Gonzaga won the game. Peggie and I were alone a lot because of the pandemic. It was so wonderful of Lori to give her time freely with fun and laughter even though her cancer had returned.  She was an incredible woman, sister, and friend. We felt rewarded by her company. Brother Scott

I had been supporting Lori for years attending her quilt/craft shows with her. We were coming back from a show, and she had dropped me off at the Albertsons on Argonne. She left driving pulling her cargo trailer up Argonne.  I had only got a few miles away when I received a frantic call from her. The trailer fell off the hitch. She was on the phone with AAA and they were telling her they don’t cover trailers and she was arguing with them.  My son and I pulled up behind her and after looking at the situation, we got the trailer raised and back on the hitch. Lori realized she had forgotten to back up the trailer to make sure the ball was down when we left the Tri Cities. Sitter Cheryle

Lori loved to work on projects on her cabin but never learned to apply the terms square and level. Brother Mike
