Molly Jolene Bowman

Molly Jolene (Francis) Bowman, age 41, of Spokane, WA passed away suddenly on April 20, 2021, due to complications of a stroke.  She graduated from St. Charles Grade School and Gonzaga Prep and attended EWU.  Her friends for those schools remained life-long friends.

Molly will be deeply missed and truly loved by those she has left heart broken.  Molly was married to Robert Wade Merritt.  Together they e were raising three children, James Bowman, Justin Bowman and Katie Merritt.  Molly is also survived by her parents, Jo Marie and Doug Francis; her sisters Erin Francis and Lauren Huber (Justin) who now find their lives forever changed by the loss of their big sister.  Also left behind are her grandmother, Kay Pupo, lots of aunts, uncles and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her beloved grandfather, Harry Pupo.

Molly’s biggest accomplishment of the last 18 years was raising her three children.  They are amazing, loving, bright kids who will make her legacy proud.

Molly knew some difficult times in her short life, but possessed the inner strength to strive and survive.  Her children were the bright light that kept her steering ahead.  Molly had a natural ability to see other people’s needs and to offer help.  So many people have contacted us to tell stories of Molly’s assistance, from little things to amazing ways she offered support.  She left us feeling proud and loved.

A private service will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery.  For donations, a GoFundMe account has been setup pf for Molly’s children under the name Merritt.
