Olga Terhark

     Our beautiful and strong mom, grandma and great grandma left us to join dad in heaven on September 20th. Olga was born in Glasgow, Montana, the youngest child of Jacob and Jensina Tweten. She was raised on a farm north of Nashua, Montana with her brothers Leonard, Hjalmer and sister Judith. Mom met Ray Terhark, a handsome Army man, home on leave to see his mother. They were married in June 1949 and started a life that lasted until Ray passed away in January 1991. Mom was the glue of the family, a truly remarkable and strong woman. Upon retiring from Washington Trust Bank after 25 years, she kept busy in retirement with sewing projects and never missing a Gonzaga men's basketball game. She was loved by everyone she met and her home was always open to family and friends.

     Olga is preceded in death by her husband, Ray, her Mom, Dad and each of her siblings. Olga is survived by her children, Susan Ames, Marla Summers, Cheri Clark, Debbie Mclsaac and Kelly Terhark (Lynn). Olga also leaves behind 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all her family members and devoted friends.

     A memorial service is scheduled for 3:00 pm Wednesday, October 5th at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church: 8441 N Indian Trail Rd, Spokane, WA 99208.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Olga's honor to Hospice of Spokane: 121 S. Arthur St, Spokane, WA 99202.
