September 22, 1953 ~ January 15, 2022 (age 68) 68 Years Old

Tribute

Richard (Dickie) Green, our beloved brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend of Spokane, WA passed Saturday afternoon, January 15th, surrounded by his daughters. Richard was born in Spokane on September 22nd, 1953 to Ellis and Harriette Green. He grew up in Spokane and on Lake Coeur d'Alene with his 6 brothers and 3 sisters.

As a kid, he had a love of jelly beans and a slight hording problem that led to an obsession with jelly beans that lasted more than 60 years.

As a teen, he fell in love with hockey, which turned into a life long passion. He was an avid fan of the Spokane Chiefs and the Chicago Blackhawks.

The only thing that surpassed his love of hockey and jelly beans, was his love for his kids and his family. He loved spending time with his kids and grandkids, going to hockey games, camping, fishing, and just sitting around talking. Whenever he saw you, he always made sure you knew you were loved.

Richard was a veteran of the US Army.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents, Ellis and Harriette; his sisters Mary and Joan; his brothers, Bill, Bob, and Tom; his grandson, Nolan; and many others he loved.

He is survived by his sister Margaret, his brothers Harry, Leo, and Jack, his children, Sarah (Steve), Tina (Jason), Jennica, Margaret (Adam), Kaylee, Danny, Amy (Wayne), Nanette (Scott), Ellisha, and Elizabeth, his 36 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and many others who love him.

Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 pm, Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at the Millwood Presbyterian Church, 3223 N Marguerite Rd, Millwood, Washington.
