Thomas J Berg

With deepest sorrow we announce that Thomas Berg, age 91, passed away on Thursday, January 19th, while in Hospice of Spokane. He will be greatly missed by his beloved family and friends, including his wife Dolores, son Thomas (Denise), son Kevin, and daughter Linda (Mike), along with his granddaughter Jaime (Max), grandsons Brady and Max, and great grandson Kane.

Tom was born in 1931 in Brooklyn, New York. He served in the Navy during the Korean War. Tom then moved to Spokane WA on his honeymoon with Dolores. He graduated from Eastern Washington University earning a degree in Social Work. He became a social case worker in Spokane and Brooklyn. He eventually became an Administrator for the Department of Social and Health Services for Washington State.

Tom retired young and traveled the world with his wife and snowbird friends in Palm Desert CA. He loved to play golf and spend time with his family.

Tom was preceded in death by his father George, mother Josephine, brother George Jr and sister Patricia. He is survived by his sister Joan and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements will be held in private.
