Dr. William (Bill) D. Salmon passed away in Spokane on Saturday, May 11, 2019. Bill was born on May 2, 1944, in Jacksonville, North Carolina to Milton & Elizabeth (Fergerson)) Salmon who preceded him in death. He is survived by his son Tracy of Vermont, his four grandchildren, Ashly (Ash) and Joey of New Jersey, and Mirabelle and Trinity of Vermont, his siblings Mark (Dee) of Florida and Lynn Whitaker of New York, nieces and nephews, and special friend, Nancy Bevan. Bill earned a Ph.D. in Business Management after attending Rutger’s University, Quinnipiac University, and La Salle College. He was employed at General Motors for forty-four years. He attended Covenant UMC and Whitworth Presbyterian in Spokane. He was a member of the Civic Theater, the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture, and the Corbin Senior Activity Center where he was a member of the Board of Directors. Bill loved reading, sports (especially baseball) and worldwide travel. Many remember Bill for his strength, endurance, and upbeat attitude as he battled terminal cancer for over ten years. He remained thankful to God and the medical professionals throughout these years. Special thanks to Hospice of Spokane. Bill will be missed by many! A Celebration of Life will be held for Bill at Corbin Senior Activity Center, 827 W Cleveland, Spokane, WA on Wednesday, May 22 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
