Dear Patti and Boys: We are thinking of you today. You and your family have had something very special in your lives, a loving Husband and a caring and devoted Father. Many people search all their lives and never find what you have had. The memories you have made will always be yours. We can close our eyes and see Don driving his sprint coupe down a long stretch of sandy beach, how heavenly!
With love, Curt and Pat

To the best back door neighbors a family ever had. We had some good “hens time” as Don called it chatting away on the patio on those warm summer days.

My father was my superman. Always wise to give advise to me . "Patrick always do something extra everyday to get ahead" , I always felt guilty leaving the shop in 2000 to start my own, Not seeing you every day, Having dreams of being at the muffler mart and knowing I have to go to open my shop , I have had that dream so many times, I will miss seeing you every friday at my work, getting that hug and Saying "love you dad , have a good day". I will miss going to vegas for your birthday. If I am half the man you were my life will be complete. I miss you so much and look forward to seeing you in my dreams. Love, your son, Patrick,

Pat, we will always remember all the special times we had racing the RC cars at our tracks and other places with your dad and you, but I think the best fun we had was at the Pine Needle Raceway he built! Dusty still has the special trophy that he won that was made from a muffler pipe! You’ll never find a trophy like that around! Don will always hold a special place in our hearts and the memories we have will always bring a smile to our faces. Our hearts go out to you and your families at this time of sorrow.

I'll always remember visiting Don and Pat's house, and attempting to play three on three with him and his step-dad, Ken, with Jim standing by smoking a cig. I got so frustrated with it all, that I walked off the court alongside the garage...Don came up to me and said, "Don't worry about it...You'll never win with Ken...He makes it hard to win at basketball..." And we laughed. Don was SALT of the EARTH...He was a safety net with his laughter and twinkle in his eyes, and offbeat humor...haha...Just thinking about him, I'm grateful to have known him in this life. Love to family and friends with a place in my heart for all of you at this time...Rest in Peace, Donnie Dotson...Your Pal, Zan

Only had the honor to meet Don a handful of times at Mach 1, as he would come and visit often. Seeing Don and Patty's faces at numerous races through out the Northwest in the stands over the years and never really knowing them, but the great stories that Pat has shared with me about his father are truly a inspiration. Though his face will be missed around the shop, his presence and inspiration will live on for a eternity. For every race I attend from here on, a moment of silence will be given in your honor, for the years of dedication and legendary presence you have left behind. I know your turning left with some of the best of your day that have left us already and reunited with great friends, you all have won the biggest race, the race of life. Thank you for making the ultimate sacrifice in your young days serving for our freedoms. RIP "Dyno Don" and watch over Patricia, Pat, Patty, and all the others you have touched,

Don I've know you since 1973 I believe. You were like a brother to me. I have loved you since I first set eyes on you and Pat. You were a perfect couple. I love Pat like a sister. I feel privileged to have had you and Pat as my BEST MAN and Matron of Honor. You were always the BEST MAN! You raised two incredible son's along with Pat's help of course. Your gentleness, kindness and respect was always appreciated by all. I don't think in all these years I have ever seen you angry. I know you were the love of Pat's life and the mentor to Patrick and Tony. If I close my eyes I can still hear you say "Patricia" I know I tried to lead my life with the integrity that you oozed. I will miss you big brother. I'll see you at the track one of these days. Much love to the family I've always considered my own. With love, Vicki
